Country Pursuit Summer Camp
2010The Summer Camp With a Difference for children age 4-14 Years
Our name tells it all. Country Pursuit equals great fun and adventure in the country.
 
The camp is situated in the beautiful 12 acre grounds of Overstone Park School, which is further surrounded by 350 acres of fantastic countryside, which includes an 18 hole golf course and leisure club.
In luscious playing fields and woodlands, come and explore and develop a spirit of Adventure where you will be kept busy and happy with our many varied activities.
 
At Country Pursuit Summer Camp your child will be cared for in small groups of eight by qualified and experienced group leaders who will ensure their safety at all times. All group leaders have received Police clearance and they have been rigorously vetted.
 
 Join us for a week of fun and adventure in the country where you will meet new friends and experience new activities.
 
Your child’s welfare is our Priority. The Country Pursuit Summer Camp is ran at Overstone Park School, by qualified and experienced Group Leaders. As a DfES registered  Independent School we are fully equipped and Insured to ensure that the very best of Care and attention is given to each child. Your child will be at all times well Supervised.

Day pupils attend from 8am till 5.30pm . Pupils may attend on a daily basis at a rate of £20.00 per day.

General Information to Parents
 
1. The safety of all the Young People who attend our Camps is our Priority. Country pursuit   Summer Camp insist on a High Level of Health and Safety by applying strict management standards developed in line with guidelines set down by the Department for Education and Skills, Health and Safety legislation and Good Practice.
2. All activities and Camps are Risk Assessed and our activity partners hold relevant operating licences if necessary. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and secure place where young people can promote their health, rest and education.
3. If there are any accidents or emergencies involving your child/ren, we will contact you   immediately, using the emergency contact details provided on your child enrolment form. It is therefore important that all details given are correct and relevant to the period which your child/ren will be attending. However, in the unlikely event that we are unable to contact you, it will necessary for us make certain decisions regarding the medical treatment given; which will be in your child’s best interest. We have staff with First Aid qualifications on site and pre-established contact with doctors and hospitals in case of any emergency.  
4. To help your child/ren get the most out of the camp, for some activities they will be grouped with children of a similar age and ability. Where necessary, qualified coaches and instructors will run all activities. Our staff will also be at the activities to encourage and support your child.
5. If your child/ren has to take medication on a regular basis, it is important that a comprehensive medical history is provided and that all medication is handed in to the office at the commencement of the camp. A Medicine administering form will need to be completed stipulating the precise quantities and times for administering medication. All medication required will need to be provided and clearly labelled with your child’s name.
6. If your child/ren have special dietary requirements please ensure these are discussed when you enrol your child/ren for the camp.

8. If your child loses something at camp, we will do our best to return any lost property we find. We recommend that wherever possible you clearly label your child/rens belongings. However, in the event of having to return property after our final camp week .
9. If you are worried about your child not knowing anyone please don’t be because camp can be an ideal place to meet new people and make new friends. Our staff will help them get to know everyone and by the end of the week their new friends will be their best friends.

1. General  In these terms and conditions ‘we’ or ‘us’ means Country

         Pursuit Summer Camp. ‘You’ means parent/Guardian of the participant or the Participant themselves. ‘Your Child/ren’ means the child or children that you are responsible for that participates at the camp. ’writing’ means letter, fax or e-mail. The contract for the supply by us of accommodation and other related services (“contract”) will be formed when we accept your order and we receive from you the full amount owed in cleared funds.

         Your contract cannot be amended unless confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of Country Pursuit Summer Camp and yourself (An administrative charge may apply (see section 4). These conditions and any matters referred to by us and supersede any prior promises, representations (unless fraudulent) or undertakings. Any omission or error in any sales literature, web pages or site, order form quotation, price list, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter. The provisions of the contracts (Rights of third parties Act 1999), are expressly excluded from the contract so that no third party may claim any rights under this contract.2. Making a booking Bookings to attend at Country Pursuit Summer Camp may only be made by submitting a completed Application Form, signed by a parent or guardian. All bookings are subject to availability and Country Pursuit Summer Camp reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.3.Payment  In order to secure your booking you must pay us the full amount of the cost of attendance. Payments can be made by either cheque or cash and must accompany the application form. If any payment under these terms and conditions is overdue, then without prejudice to our other rights and remedies, we may cancel your booking; and/or we may suspend the supply and/or deliveries of any other services being provided to you by Country Pursuit Summer Camp.

 

 

4. If you change your booking  If, at the time of booking, you choose to get to camp using transport provided by Country Pursuit Summer Camp, any cancellation or change to this request will be treated as a change to your booking and will be subject to the conditions above. Any change that still requires Country Pursuit Summer Camp transport can not be guaranteed if made less than 21 days prior to the start of camp. Any changes or additions can be requested by calling our contact number given above. Confirmation of this request will be subject to availability and may incur the £10 administration fee.6. Non-attendance   If your child/ren do/es not arrive at camp then we will have to establish their whereabouts. In the event we cannot contact you we will contact the police to establish the whereabouts of your child/ren. Non –attendance will be treated as a cancellation. 
5. If you cancel your booking  Fees are non-refundable.
7.If we change your booking  In the unlikely event that it becomes necessary to change your booking, in total or in part, Country Pursuit Summer Camp will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible of any necessary changes. You shall have the choice of: accepting the changed arrangements: (*or purchasing another placement and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any differences), or cancelling your placement and receiving a full refund of all payments made.
8. Delay or Failure to Perform We shall not be liable to you if we are prevented or delayed in the performing of any of our obligations to you if this is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control including (without limitation): an act of God, explosion, flood, fir or accident; war or civil disturbance; strike, industrial action or stoppages of work; any form of government intervention,; a third party act or omission; failure by you to give us a correct delivery address. Country Pursuit Summer Camp reserves the right to vary the timetable or cancel or amend the nature of activities if weather conditions or other factors make them unsuitable to run. In the event of cancellation, Country Pursuit Summer Camp will endeavour to offer an appropriate replacement activity.
9. Activities Country Pursuit Summer Camp offers off site activities and excursions. These activities and excursions are subject to the same risk assessments and standards of supervision as on-site activities. Some of these off site activities may involve Water. It is the responsibility of our parents/guardians to ensure that participants in these activities can swim a minimum of 15 meters.
10. Our Liability To You Country Pursuit Summer Camp shall ensure, that the services you order from us are in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and shall be performed by us with reasonable skill and care. Where an element of your booking is not provided as stated above you must notify us within 28 days of the alleged breach. We shall then investigate the matter and if we have not delivered the service in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, you shall be entitles to: a full refund of the cost of you placement (or, where appropriate, relevant sections of it), less any fees charged for changes requested by you: or a free stay to the equivalent value of the services complained of, where such dates are agreed in writing by us.
11. SuitabilityCountry Pursuit Summer Camp reserve the right to determine the suitability of an individual to participate, and the right not to accept a booking or exclude an individual from one of our camps. When making a booking, we must be advised about any social and/or behavioural issues that may detrimentally effect the camp environment for the individual, other campers and everyone working at Country Pursuit Summer Camp. Any disabilities or relevant medical conditions should also be discussed with us at the time of booking, in order to advise you of the suitability of Country Pursuit Summer Camp for your child/ren. Country Pursuit Summer Camp also reserve the right to refuse a booking or exclude an individual from camp if this information comes to light at a later stage of the booking process. In the event of any individual being excluded or withdrawn from camp, no refund or reduction will be made. In addition, any cost incurred by Country Pursuit Summer Camp in connection with an individual being asked to leave camp, will be the full responsibility of that persons parent/guardian who will be expected to bear the costs in full.
         Country Pursuit Summer Camps are not suitable venues for  parents/guardians seeking respite care or where a high level of Individual support care is requires—where children are sent for the benefit of their carers and not the child.
12. Your responsibilities  It is your responsibility to ensure Country Pursuit Summer Camp is notified of any dietary needs, behavioural, medical or social problems that your child may have, particularly when those needs or problems might affect your child or other participants during the camp. This is to ensure that Country Pursuit Summer Camp is able to provide a suitable level of care and supervision to enable all children to participate fully in camp and to prevent individuals attending camp who may require a higher level of medical care or supervision than Country Pursuit Residential Summer Camp can reasonably provide. All personal information will be handled sensitively and confidentially. We reserve the right to require a certificate from your child’s Doctor confirming that they are able to participate in the Camp activities level of medical care or supervision than Country Pursuit Summer Camp can reasonably provide. 13. Behaviour If your child’s behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable or if they cause damage your booking may be terminated and you may be asked to immediately collect your child from camp or organise their return. If you are unable to collect your child, then full costs of return travel home will be charged to you. No whole or part refunds will be made under these circumstances.
14. Loco parentis (Country Pursuit  Summer Camp acting in place of
Parent/Guardian)   In cases of medical or other emergency, you (being
         the Parent or Guardian) consent to Country Pursuit Summer Camp acting in loco parentis, so that we can make decisions on your behalf in relation to seeking medical or other emergency care for your child.
15. Personal Property Country Pursuit Summer Camp will not be liable for any item of personal property brought to camp by your child. Your child can bring with them items such as mobile phones, personal music players, jewellery or other valuables. However, items of this nature must be named and handed in to the Team leader at the start of camp. There will be delegated times for the use of these items. Items of property left behind by your child may be disposed of by Country Pursuit Summer Camp if not claimed and collected by you within 30 days of the end of camp. We will endeavour to return items to their rightful owners, however, delivery costs will be charged.
16. Complaints In the unlikely event a child has a complaint at camp, this must be addressed to the Team Leader in the first instance. If the Head Leader fails to resolve the complaint satisfactorily, you should contact the Principal of Country Pursuit Summer Camp in writing within 2 weeks of your child leaving camp.
